Large scale collaborations
I am a member of the core group of CNN Artists Collective. The Collective are primarily based in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, with a diverse spread of artistic practices. In collaboration they specialise in public artworks in unusual locations that use the audience as a primary component within the work.CNN use renewable energy to power all their events.
An example work was ' Super Nature', a live public arts event set in woodlands at night. The event combined performance, sculpture and interactive installation.
Super Nature was commissioned by Dumfries and Galloway Council and attracted hundreds of visitors over the 2 day event in May 2008
The audience were escorted through the woods encountering performance and installation based on an urban American 1970's theme.The centrepiece was a full size solar powered dancefloor deep in the woodlands with which the audience interacted.
